CURRENT
MINISTRY: Our
primary responsibility is to serve as
the Regional Coordinators for Latin America ChildCare (LACC) in the
countries of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
LACC is dedicated to transforming the lives of needy children with
the Good News of Jesus Christ through education and ministries of
compassion. Our
responsibilities include the development and oversight of the schools; work
with the LACC Country Coordinators & Sponsorship Care office; plus,
minister to and encourage the teachers and pastors.
We also oversee new projects and help with the construction of the
new schools.
In addition, we serve as the Country Coordinator for Latin America
ChildCare in Chile. We work with the national church leaders in the development of the vision
and goals of LACC Chile. Currently
there are 6 schools in operation with over 1,900 students – including a
new Senior High Polytechnic School for the Mapuche Indians.
Plus, we have just opened our newest school in March in a very poor
community of Rancagua, Chile. Also, we have just started the construction for a new school
here in the Santiago area.
Finally, besides our work with LACC, we are partnering with another
missionary couple to establish a strong church in the middle/upper class
area of Chile’s capital, Santiago.
There are over one million people in this area and only a handful of
Evangelical churches.
PREVIOUS
MINISTRY (1984 – 1997): Prior to working with Latin America ChildCare, we served as the Bible
School directors in Temuco, Chile; served as a Bible School Professor in
Chile and Costa Rica; planted 7 new churches and built 9 new churches in
Chile; served as the HealthCare Ministries representative for all of Latin
America, participating in over 20 short-term medical clinics all over Latin
America.

UPDATE – LATIN
AMERICA CHILDCARE (LACC):
New
Responsibilities with LACC:
We were asked to take on three additional countries as a part of our
work as Regional Coordinators with Latin America ChildCare. Now, in
addition to the six countries of the southern part of South America, we will
also be working with the countries of Ecuador, Venezuela and Colombia. And,
we are now a part of the LACC Core Leadership group. Please pray that the
Lord will give us the wisdom and understanding that we need to see this
ministry continue to grow and touch the lives of thousands of children.
LACC – Isla de
Maipo, Chile – New Project:
Dodey & I
traveled to the U.S. to present this new project at the annual
missions convention at First Assembly of God in Des Moines, Iowa. The goal
was to raise $175,000 for this project.
Praise
report: We needed to raise $15,000 to pay for
the architect fees. Praise God that we have been able to raise it!! Please keep praying!
LACC Project in
Conchali, Chile:
Praise
report: We told you that we needed to raise
$3,000 to pay for the City Planning Commission fees for this project.
Praise God – one church sent us an offering to cover this entire amount!!!
LACC Teachers
Seminars: Peru, Argentina and Chile:
During the months of March, May and June,
we were a part of National Teachers Seminars for our Latin America ChildCare
ministries in the countries of Peru, Argentina and Chile. The response in
each country was amazing with every school represented!! The most important
thing that came out of these retreats was the spiritual impact on the
leaders and teachers lives.
